Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) is a course that one can pursue after completing Class 12 with science subjects. BAMS is based on the traditional art of healing in India; popularly known as Ayurveda. Ayurveda is the a branch of medical care which is based upon the concepts of natural healing processes of the human body which is further enhanced by therapy of Ayurveda.

It is an undergraduate degree awarded in the field of medicine to those who have completed the study of five and half year medicine course including one year internship. The minimum criteria to take admission in this course is to complete 12th class education with science. After passing the 12th class, the student is required to clear a state or national level BAMS entrance exam to get admission in the respective medical college.

Eligibility Criteria for BAMS
To pursue BAMS course in Indian colleges/ universities, aspirants should clear Class XII in Science stream with PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) subjects.
